Summer in a Week

the past week or so has flown by in a flurry of activity.
we went to Old Sacramento for our last weekend in Sacramento.

our last sunday was spent at Brian and Paige's home.
we packed and cleaned in a day and a half.
monday we drove the 2 hour drive to reno and spent the night.
the next day we finished the drive to utah.
wednesday was our one year wedding anniversary!!!
it was a busy day but my mom had saved the top of our wedding cake so we got to celebrate at least a little bit.
surprisingly the middle of the cake still tasted pretty good :)

i'd consider thursday the longest day EVER...
tristan agrees.
moving day... we got everything from the storage unit up three flights of stairs to our apartment.
nothing got unpacked but at least it's all there.

friday morning my parents took us boating!
we made it to deer creek at 7:30 and each had our share of turns skiing and wakeboarding before we left just before noon.
the water was perfect, it wasn't too cold, and it felt wonderful being on a boat again.
that evening tristan and i checked into The Grand America for two nights for our anniversary.
tristan bought me beautiful flowers and the hotel surprised us with an anniversary cake :)

we had a wonderful weekend and finished it off spending more time with our families.
our apartment was not even remotely unpacked, we hadn't looked up the trax schedule, we barely knew where our classes were, and we hadn't even thought about buying our books yet but monday came and school has started again.

tristan is beyond busy with trigonometry, calculus, physics, and a design class
i get to enjoy microbiology, physiology, creative writing and lit history

as a side note, tristan and i have decided that we want to take at least one picture a day for the next year and hopefully for the rest of forever.
looking back on our first year we realized we had hardly any pictures to show for it so we want that to change.
we've already missed a day or two... off to a great start i know... but now we are accountable to our blog so hopefully we will do better.
