Utah in the Fall

There is just something beautiful about the changing leaves in the mountains. Even though this year has been a lot less vibrant (they say it's because we had such a dry winter and wet summer), it has still been fun to get out into nature. I'm trying to live up the last few weekends before I return to work after my maternity leave ends in less than 2 weeks. insert tears here. So we've booked our weekends full of hikes and drives through the canyon. Coming in the next few weeks (I hope): pumpkin patch, trip to park city, and picnic in the canyon.

We've done two hikes so far. I'm hoping to get at least one more in before winter hits but we will see! A few weeks ago we did Scout Falls. That was my first time doing this hike so it was a fun new experience! The waterfall was little, it's bigger in the spring. But the moss everywhere, gorgeous! It was a pretty easy hike (I had just been cleared to exercise and my niece and nephew were coming so we didn't want anything too crazy). This past weekend we did Stewart Falls. It's tradition :) take a look at last year and the year before. It's our favorite hike to do as a family. It was slightly disappointing to realize just how different it looked this year but it was still beautiful.

Yesterday after conference while we were on one of our drives through the canyon, we found a gorgeous spot up American Fork canyon. We can't believe that we haven't found it before! So of course we had to stop and take some pictures.
