life lately :: july

I didn't realize that we are already almost midway through August until yesterday when Tristan was talking to me about some of his guys who are getting ready to go home. I got all concerned, wondering why they were going home early. At that point Tristan reminded me that school will be starting in the next couple of weeks so they are going home at the normal time. Say what? It still feels like August 1st. Since my cute child decided that he wanted to scream from 2:30 am - 4:00 am, I decided to just get up with him because when I tried to bring him to bed with us, he just played around. I figured now is as good of a time as any to catch up on some blogging. July was jam packed between work shifts, trips, and visitors. By the end, we needed a break from the month. But it was so much fun and we loved it!

^ mckai's third and fourth flights... heading back to utah ^

^ watching the fourth of july hot air balloons go up at work ^

^ 4th of July ^
I had to work so mckai spent his first fourth of july with his nanny. He had so much fun swimming! After work, we went to my parent's house for a bbq and some volleyball before mckai went with his tata ashley & houston to watch the fireworks. He was not a fan of the loud noise but once they got noise cancelling headphones on him, he seemed to enjoy the colors!

^ first boating trip of the season! he loved the boat! I was so sad because the weather went bad before we could get him out on the tube but we will just have to do that another time :) ^

 ^ swimming ^
and

^ hawaiian ice ^

^ a week in paradise ^

^ twenty one pilots concert ^
this was only the 3rd or 4th date night that Tristan and I have been on without Mckai since he was born and also the first concert we have been to in a very long time. it was so much fun! they put on an awesome show with just a few highlights being a crowd surfing a hamster ball and the drummer with his drums.

^ baby's first birthday party! ^

^ flying back to philadelphia with his daddy ^
flight number 5 was a dream, he slept the whole way. flight number 6 was our worst one yet. he was not the happiest and the flight ended up being longer than expected and Tristan had an ear infection. needless to say, we were very excited to get home.
